Title: Body Of The Crime (Blackest Gold, #2)
Author: R. Scarlett
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Never trust a demon. Never trust your heart. And never trust the woman who holds it. In Body of the Crime, a beast craved a beauty and oh, how she ravaged him.
Big thanks to BTS Promotions and R. Scarlett for an ARC copy for review.
Gaaah... This book hit me right in the feels! And I can honestly say that I have never been more eager to get a sequel in my hands like Body of The Crime. R. Scarlett once again pulls me in with the continuation Tensley and Molly's captivating story. Just like with Vein of Love, there is still an enticing and passionate romance, a dangerous world of demons, and wanting the forbidden. I love this one even more than the first, and there is no second book syndrome here at all folks.
I saw Molly's character really grow this time around. She stands up for what she wants and doesn't back down. Plus she comes into her powers and kicks major ass, especially when it comes to those she loves. I was cheering her on throughout the book. And of course there is everyone's favorite, brooding, hard to resist demon, Tensley Knight. How can any reader not love him. Sure he can be intimidating as hell, but underneath he is just a man who loves deeply and wants love in return. R. Scarlett showed so many sides to him and really gives his character depth. His feelings for Molly came though so much and were so tangible.
"I was scared of what you were making me feel, what a demon should never feel." He took a deep breath, expanding his heavy lungs and letting it all out. "But I don't want to let you go. I want you, but only if you'll have me." ~ Tensley
Well shit, you see what I mean. There was also secondary characters that I loved seeing back (Illya and September). I have a major crush on Illya, and characters that I absolutely loathed. But what really had my mind spinning was that damn ending! R. Scarlett you can't leave a girl hanging with a cliffhanger like that.
